Rainy Weather Motorcycling
Motorcycle accessories for rainy weather riding provide warm and dry comfort on damp cold days
If you ride much, you're going to be motorcycling in the rain. It's an inescapable fact. Inspired by the Minnesota weather conditions, our products are designed to keep you dry warm and dry - so you can KEEP RIDING.
Motorcycle Accessories for your Feet and Legs
Desert Dawgs Rain Guards: Quite possibly the easiest and least costly way to stay warmer and dryer on a motorcycle is by using the Desert Dawgs motorcycle lowers. Their patented design repels rain out and around your legs and feet - and they are a cinch to remove and store. Hand crafted by American craftsman here in the USA.
Wind Deflectors: Some wind deflectors are passably good at cutting down wind, but not as effective with rain. The Desert Digits Wind Deflectors, on the other hand, will keep nearly all the rain off your legs and knees when properly installed. They can be mounted to virtually any standard engine guard bar, adjusted an unlimited number of ways, and are easy-on, easy-off.
Desert Motorcycle Fairing:: When used together, the Desert Dawgs and Desert Digits create a virtual motorcycle fairing that will keep you warm and dry for hundreds of dollars less than a traditional hard fairing (and they're easily removable).
Motorcycle Accessories for your Body and Torso
Leather chaps and jackets go without saying, but can get worrisome in the rain. A high-quality rainsuit is a better bet; we recommend you keep it in your saddlebag!
Motorcycle Accessories for your Neck and Head
Neck (yep, this deserves its own category): You don't want ANY rain down your neck. A neck gaitor or balaclava is just the ticket.
Head: In the rain, there's no getting around the best way to stay dry: a full-faced helmet. You can keep your half-helmet or 'beany' helmet for warmer weather, but make the investment in a full-face helmet too. Our advice: get one with good venting.
Helmet fogging can be a problem in the rain. We have a solution for that (and it's less than $20): get yourself an Anti-Fog insert. Problem solved!
Motorcycle Accessories for your Hands and Arms
The obvious answer is riding gloves - but they're going to get mighty soggy in rainy weather. The better option: the Desert Digits Hand Guards. To keep rain away from your hands, there's nothing better. Desert Digits can be mounted to any handlebar bar, adjusted an unlimited number of ways, and are easily removable when you're not using them.
"If happiness is a longer riding season, then money can indeed buy happiness." - Gail
